Main contributor: redesign, PT/EN pages, SEO and deploy

Problem

FAMS needed a storefront for agribusinesses — modules, plugins, plans, devices, newsletter and demo requests — separate from the application. With Mahala, it also needed a direct path to free sign-up.

Solution

A static HTML, CSS and JavaScript site with a small PHP backend for the contact form. In 2026 Edson redesigned the Portuguese and English pages, added the Mahala page, per-language meta tags and Open Graph images, and a deploy workflow with stricter hosting rules.

Technical decisions

  1. 01

Changelog read from the application API

The changelog page fetches releases from the FAMS API, with an 8 s timeout, payload validation and a fallback server. The site never falls behind the product.

  2. 02

    Languages as mirrored file trees

Portuguese at the root and English under /en/, with the same pages. With no build step or framework, anyone on the team can edit the copy.

  3. 03

    Dark theme without a flash

A small script in the <head> applies the saved theme before first paint.

  4. 04

    Tighter hosting

The deploy blocks public access to dotfiles and vendor, rejects unneeded HTTP methods and sets file permissions.
