Problem
The blood transfusion network has fragmented data, trouble tracking donors and low community uptake. Paper donor cards get lost.
Solution
The concept has two parts: tiered hospital management (central level, hospital admins and technicians who record donors and donations) and a donor app with profile, history, a digital QR card and an eligibility calendar. What exists is the product document and a web and mobile UI prototype; there is no working code yet.
Technical decisions
01
Multi-hospital via `hospital_id`
Each hospital sees only its own data; the central level belongs to no hospital. (Proposed in the document.)
02
Eligibility by sex: 90 or 120 days
The retention calendar computes the next possible donation from the interval for men and women. (Proposed in the document.)
03
Hashed QR instead of plain data
The digital card doesn't expose personal data in the QR code. (Proposed in the document.)
04
Donor retention before stock management
Blood inventory management is left for a second phase; the MVP focuses on the donor flow.
